Meet the Makers

Joy Kelso

Owner, Designer, Creative. 

Joy began the Makerie in 2020, when she learned to make pottery, and wanted to specialize in elegant, handmade ceramics inspired by the snowy winter Montana landscape. 

She also owns Queen City Framing & Art Supplies in Helena.

You'll find her at home knitting in her off-time, with her dog, Harper and two cats.

Regina Tode

Studio Partner, Nail Artist, Maker.

Regina and Joy have been producing pottery on & off together since 2019. Regina owns and operates Thistle Dew Nails in Helena, MT, sharing sophisticated designs and embellishments.

Outside of art, you'll find her playing with her two adorable dogs, and as an avid outdoorswoman, floating the river in Summer, and skiing in Winter.
